Scuba diving and snorkeling are two of the most popular activities when visiting the Gulf Coast. The clear, emerald waters are perfect for observing wildlife as it swims by. The jetties seawall, with depths dropping off to 50 feet, as well as the 1906 wreck of the Tugboat Sport make for an excellent day of diving near Ft. Pickens. Experienced scuba divers will want to check out the USS Oriskany, the largest artificial reef ever created. While the post popular dive sites are artificial, there are a few natural wonders to see as well: Green’s Hole, Paradise Hole and Timber Holes.
