The seafood festival will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 10AM-4PM and will offer up some of the best Gulf of Mexico seafood around. In addition to offering great beach eats this festival also showcases arts and crafts, live entertainment and plenty of kids activities. You’re little ones will love hanging out in the Kids Zone climbing the rock wall, bouncing in the inflatables and enjoying games designed just for them.

The entire family will enjoy the car show that also happens during the Orange Beach Seafood Festival. Grab a plate of delicious shrimp or even a funnel cake and then make your way around checking out the antique, performance or hot rod cars that will be lined up throughout the venue.

Looking for a few good beach Mardi Gras celebrations during your vacation in a Perdido Key condo? Well, laissez les bon temps rouler on February 21, 2012 with Pointe South as well as the nearby Gulf Coast communities of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Just a short drive away, the community of Gulf Shores will be doing up Fat Tuesday in style with a parade as well as a celebration at local restaurant LuLu’s at the Homeport Marina. The Gulf Shores parade begins at 10AM and travels from Highway 59 and ends at  Main Beach. After the parade head to LuLu’s for live music and the boat parade! Glen David Andrews will play from noon to 3PM, just in time for the parade to roll in on the intercoastal waterway from The Wharf before Sugarcane Jane takes the stage at 5PM during this family-friendly celebration.

If you’re looking to stay a little closer to your Perdido Key vacation rental during your celebrations, enjoy the Orange Beach parade. The parade will begin at 2PM leaving from Wintzell’s and end at Highway 161. Be sure to make it back in time for the Pointe South party, however! If you’re staying with us in a Perdido Key vacation condo this Mardi Gras don’t miss the parties happening in Pensacola! This is undoubtedly the biggest Fat Tuesday celebration in the Florida Panhandle so make sure you don’t miss a moment of the fun.

Don’t miss the Krewe of Lafitte Parade on Friday, February 17 at 8PM. This is the only illuminated parade of the season and it kicks off the 3 days of fun leading up to Fat Tuesday. Make your way to the parade route, beginning at the intersection of Spring and Garden Streets, to catch all the action. The Pensacola Grand Parade happens on February 18, 2012 at 2PM and follows the same route. Food, fun and lots of entertainment happen before, during and after this parade in downtown Pensacola and Seville Quarter. Be sure to make your way to the parades all weekend long for a celebration in the streets of Pensacola like you have never seen! Laissez les bon temps rouler!
